Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) offer design programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) degrees. These programs often incorporate design thinking, engineering approaches, and creative problem-solving skills.

IIT conducts UCEED entrance exam for B.Des admission selection and CEED entrance exam for M.Des admission selection.

Exam Pattern

UCEED

The UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) exam is structured into two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based test with Numerical Answer Types (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Part B consists of subjective questions, including drawings and design exercises.

1. Part A (Computer-Based):

NAT (Numerical Answer Type):

14 questions worth 4 marks each (no negative marking). Candidates need to enter their numerical answers using a virtual keyboard on the computer.

MSQ (Multiple Select Questions):

15 questions where students may have to select one or more correct options from four given choices.

MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions):

28 questions worth 3 marks each (0.71 negative marking for incorrect answers).

2.Part B (Subjective):
