Specific IITs with Design Programs:
- IIT Delhi: Offers a B.Des program and a B.Tech in Design, emphasizing a transdisciplinary approach.
- IIT Bombay: The IDC School of Design offers M.Des programs in various streams like Industrial Design, Communication Design, and Interaction Design, as well as a Ph.D. in Design.

UCEED
1. Part A (Computer-Based):
NAT (Numerical Answer Type):
14 questions worth 4 marks each (no negative marking). Candidates need to enter their numerical answers using a virtual keyboard on the computer.

2.Part B (Subjective):
- Part B includes drawing and design aptitude questions evaluated by experienced examiners.
- Drawing questions assess the ability to draw products, people, or scenes with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
- Design aptitude questions evaluate the ability to respond practically and appropriately to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.
- Part B questions are evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A.

Age Limit:
- The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.
Qualifying examination:
- The candidate should have passed all five subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible.
- Candidates from the Science Stream (at 10+2 level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to all the seven participating institutes (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur). Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.
- For admission to BDes at IIITDM Jabalpur, only students with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology at 10+2 can apply. Students from Commerce, Arts or Humanities at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for BDes admissions at IIITDM Jabalpur. Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee. Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are NOT eligible to apply to IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee.
CEED ELIGIBILITY:
Age Limit:
- There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.
Qualifying examination:
- Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level) or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2025, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2025.
- Note that the eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from those for appearing for CEED. Before applying for CEED, candidates must check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes.
